About Us

At Somos Bilingües, our goal is to foster bilingualism from the earliest years through interactive, Spanish immersion. For preschoolers, we build foundational language and school-readiness skills through play, music, movement, and storytelling. As students grow, our curriculum evolves to include activities that build vocabulary, fluency, and confidence in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, we support each learner’s development while nurturing a lifelong love for language and culture.

We strive to become a trusted resource center that nurtures language development, celebrates culture, and empowers both children and adults through meaningful, immersive experiences.

At Somos Bilingües, We believe bilingualism is for everyone. Our programs are designed to help learners grow in Spanish through engaging experiences. Students will be immerse in the language through songs, stories, art, movement and hands-on activities.

Hello! I'm Jolie Avant, founder of Somos Bilingües.

As a native Spanish speaker, educator, and parent, I understand the importance of creating opportunities for children and families to connect, grow, and thrive. I founded Somos Bilingües with a simple mission: to help families experience the benefits of bilingualism while building a supportive and welcoming community.

Learning a language is about more than words and grammar—it is about relationships, culture, confidence, and connection. Through our Spanish immersion programs, children and adults learn in a positive environment where they feel encouraged to participate, make mistakes, and celebrate their progress. We believe that every family deserves access to engaging language experiences that strengthen communication and open doors to new opportunities.

At Somos Bilingües, we are committed to creating a community where families support one another, share experiences, and celebrate the journey of language learning together. Whether your child is taking their first Spanish class or your family is looking to deepen its connection to the Spanish-speaking world, we are here to guide and support you every step of the way.
